Elliot Baczalla won his first junior open in style this year at The Broadstone Golf Club. Elliot shot an amazing Gross 73, which is only +3 over gross! Off of his 12 handicap that’s net 61 which was 4 better than his closest competitor!Elliot shot a solid 41 front nine with his putter performing poorly. On the back nine Elliot’s putter got hot making 7 pars and 2 birdies to shoot a career best 32 (-2 back nine) Highlights of Elliots round include a birdie on the 412yard 17 hole where under pressure he slotted an amazing 30ft putt, this took him 2 under par for the back nine! Elliot first started working with me in August 2010 off of a 16 handicap, after his latest cut Elliot is now of off a 10 reducing his handicap by over a 1/3rd this year! Elliot is one of the most enthusiastic and dedicated students I coach and deserves every success with his golfing career.
