One of the most common faults I see in putting is the player looking up to early to see where his ball has gone. This generally results in quite ‘Yippy’ putting with the bad shot being a pull as the body moves round to see where the ball has gone. What we’re looking to do with putting is to fix and lock our body in place only allowing the shoulders and arms to rock.
A great way to practice this is by simply placing a coin down directly behind the ball. When you hit the putt keep your eyes fixated on the coin and wait for the sound of the ball dropping into the hole. I guarantee that you will hole more putts by practicing and implementing this discipline.
