One of the biggest problems I come across in coaching are inconsistent results in a golfers long game. The comment I normally get is “the good shots are good but the bad shots seem to come from no where!” The biggest cause of this is the disconnection of the arms and body. A good drill to improve body connection and consistency is to practice hitting shots with a ball underneath each arm. The aim is to keep both of them in at all times, this will feel very restricted but will yield some impressive results. This should ensure your arms and body work together throughout the back swing and down swing creating a more repeatable solid action. So practice for at least half a bucket of balls using this drill and watch your consistency improve!
